COMMUNITY
SEEDCORN FUND
The
scheme - The Scottish Government have a committed a further
£250,000 to this fund for small-scale woodland projects which
benefit communities. Further funding will be available from 1st April
2012. The fund aims to supports community groups and organisations
that are encouraging and facilitating greater use of woods by people
to derive health, well-being and community benefits.

TESCO CHARITY TRUST
The funding provided goes towards providing practical benefits,
such as equipment and resources for projects that directly benefit
children, the elderly, and adults and children with disabilities,
living in the local communities around Tesco stores.

Deadlines - There are two rounds of funding every
year for each category.
Grants for children's education and children's welfare. Applications
can be made from 1 December 2011 to 31 January 2012 or 1 May and 30
June 2012.
Grants for elderly people and adults and children with disabilities.
Applications should be made between 1 February and 31 March 2012 or
1 August and 30 September 2012.
cash4communities - NHS Tayside has launched its pioneering
£2million cash4communities project in Perth. The project will
see members of the public able to apply for a share of the fund to
take forward their own ideas to tackle some of the main challenges
faced by people living in communities today.

New
Business Support Programme - Website
A NEW
£3m business support programme and a £4m grant fund
to help third sector organisations grow and operate efficiently
was launched by John Swinney last week.
The
Just Enterprise programme consists of a website providing advice
and support, subsidised workshops and training opportunities.
It was launched last week alongside the Scottish Government’s
£4m Enterprise Growth Fund, which will be disrupted throughout
2011 by the Wise Group.
The new website (link below) directs organisations on how to apply
to the fund, which is offering grants of between £25,000 and
£200,000 for organisations with sustainable business plans
Lottery Scheme for Scotland
The Community Spaces Scotland scheme will support
communities to become more involved in, and to take responsibility
for, their local environment, communal spaces and places.
Grants of £10,000 to £250,000 are available to projects
which achieve all three of the following outcomes under Community
Spaces Scotland:
- Communities come together to make better use of local spaces and
places.
- Communities come together to improve their environment.
- Communities come together to get healthier and be more active

Lottery After a period of almost 2 years the Big Lottery Fund
has reopened for business. A Summary of the new programme from 2010

Action Perthshire offer funding advice & business support
for the voluntary sector, many of the services are provided free
of charge and those such as training are offered at very competitive
rates
