The website
was launched on 1st April 2002 by the Kinross-shire Partnership and the
Kinross Community Council to promote Kinross-shire to prospective visitors
and as a resource for residents.
An average of 440 people visit the site per day. The figure is rising
and we are told by the owners of one of the major hotels and also a Bed
& Breakfast establishment that their websites receive a considerable
number of hits as a direct result of having a link on this site.
The site is managed by the Kinross-shire Partnership and Kinross Community
Council. In 2006 funding has been received from Perth & Kinross Council
(Branding Budget) for adding the foreign language pages and from the Kinross-shire
Fund for further development of the Community Communication parts of the
site.
To have information
about your business included on the site fill in the
Business Form (.pdf) and
either post or e-mail it to the website administrator. The listing for
accommodation providers is slightly different, so the Accommodation
Form (.pdf) should be used. Please note that a basic listing is completely
free of charge, there is, however, a small charge for links to an e-mail
address and/or website.
For listing
your club, group or charity,
free of charge, fill in and sign the Data
Protection Form (.pdf) and return it by post or e-mail.
